Enabling Process Designer in IBM Content Navigator 2.0.3

Background:

IBM® Content Navigator provides a unified user interface for your Enterprise Content Management (ECM)

solutions. It also provides a robust development platform so you can build customized user interface and

applications to deliver value and an intelligent, business-centric experience.

IBM FileNet process designer is a major component of IBM FileNet’s BPM capability. Since IBM is focusing on

ICN for UI needs installer has to keep WorkplaceXT as a part of FileNet environment for catering workflow

designing tool – Process designer.

This document illustrates how to enable process designer in IBM Content Navigator 2.0.3

Steps to Enable process designer in ICN 2.0.3

1. Login to ICN admin desktop and go to plug-ins option.

2. Click on “new Plug-in’ and enter Jar File path of “CPEAppletsPlugin.jar” where ECMClient is

installed. Usually this Jar file will be found at below location.

IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\AppSrv01Node01Cell\FileNetEngine.ear\pee

ngine.war\plugins\CPEAppletsPlugin.jar

3. Click Load and Enter the WorkplaceXT Path as shown below. This will install plugin for

WorkplaceXT as shown below
